Cinnamon Oil<\/p>\n
Cinnamon Oil is a vegetable oil obtained by extraction from Cinnamon barks.<\/p>\n
It is from the laurel family. Cinnamon is a tree 6-12 cm tall and has a long cylindrical trunk. When it is 2-3 years old, its trunk is cut 50 cm above the ground and thus countless long spikes emerge from its root. The bark of the 2-3 cm long spikes is peeled and dried.<\/p>\n
The flowers are found together at the ends of the branches at the top of the tree and the flowers are quite small and whitish green. The fruits are half-enclosed by rough leaves and are egg-shaped. The leaves are red when fresh, then brownish red and turn green when ripe.<\/p>\n
Cinnamon is added to some dishes, desserts and wines as a spice and to give flavor and aroma. Cinnamon essence obtained from the fruit of the tree is used in the perfume industry.<\/p>\n
Cinnamon can only be grown in botanical gardens in Turkey because it grows in tropical countries. Today, it is grown as a cultivated plant primarily in Indonesia, Malaysia, Madagascar, Brazil and Jamaica. It contains cinnamic, aldehyde and eugenol.<\/p>\n
