The homeland of the Air Mercuri Root is known as the Mediterranean. It is a herbaceous plant that grows in sandy soils and is 20-30 cm tall and blooms blue flowers in May and July. Its roots contain a red dye. Air mercuri is a plant generally used for burns, and has been used as a burn pomade for many years with ointments made at home.
