Mouth sores can be divided into two groups: “simple” and “deep” or “hard-edged” sores. They are mostly caused by colds or indigestion. The sores are surrounded by a red line. Initially, they are like blisters filled with water. Later, they burst and spread, causing painful pain. In children, the same sores can occur during measles and smallpox.
