
The homeland of acacia is North America.
In our country, it is generally cultivated on roadsides and along railways, as well as against landslides.
It is a branched tree, up to 20 m high. The trunk bark is gray brown and cracked. The leaves are petiolate, pinnate and have a protrusion at the base. The flowers are white, fragrant and porous, hanging in clusters. The fruit is a brown bean-shaped spike. There are a few dark brown seeds in the spikes.
Essential oil containing compounds (indul, benzaldehyde, methyl ether, anthranilic acid, heliotropin, linalool), poisonous albuminrobin, alkaloid, dye in the stem bark of the plant, amygdalin, globulin, phytosterin, stigmasterin and a urine separating enzyme in the inner bark (in August) were discovered.

Acacia flower has the property of reducing heartburn. It has a blood-thinning effect. It is used against excessive heartburn, gastritis, sourness, belching and stomach bleeding.
White acacia flowers are recommended by folk medicine for use against diseases such as cough, stomach ulcers, headache, facial nerve neuralgia, rheumatism, typhoid, flu, stomach bleeding. Externally, it is used as a mouth rinse for toothache.
Since they are poisonous, they should be used under the supervision of a doctor. Recently, the leaves have also been used in cases of irregular menstruation and high blood pressure.
