The plant species of the parsley family, the honeysuckle, is also known by different names. These are names such as toothpick grass, corn motherwort, tooth herb, tooth crescent, Kılır. The reason why the plant is called toothpick grass or toothpick grass is because the flower stalks are used as toothpicks.

The hyacinth is a herbaceous plant that grows vertically and frequently forks for 1-2 years, 50-150 cm tall. It does not require much effort to grow the hyacinth because the hyacinth has the ability to grow on its own in fields and roadsides.

The use of hyssop in history is mentioned in the ancient Egyptian inscriptions, Papyrus. The Eber Papyrus of Ancient Egypt mentions the effect of hyssop in breaking down kidney stones, which are common in this region.

The first scientific research in history was done by Egyptian Mustafa Efendi in 1879 and it was used to break up kidney and bladder stones. The original homeland of the plant is the Eastern Mediterranean countries and over time it spread to almost every part of the world.
