It is an inflammation of the oil glands at the edges of the eyelids. The causative agent is usually staphylococcus bacteria.
Symptoms:
There is redness, pain and burning in the area where the stye appears.
Treatment:
Removal of the eyelash in the center of the abscess and warm dressing are sufficient treatment, but antibiotic eye ointments should be used to prevent the spread of inflammation.
