“Sir, you said that there has been an explosion in cancer cases recently, and that most of the lymphoma and bone marrow cancers come from Antalya-Kumluca, which is the agricultural center of Turkey. Are there other regions like this? There are… For example, Ergene was discussed 6-7 months ago. It is in a miserable state. There is extraordinary environmental pollution in Ergene. The short version went to an environmental film festival in Marseille. The audience was so impressed that they couldn’t applaud when the film ended, they had no energy left to applaud. The film showed the wastewater from the leather factories being released into Ergene in the form of foam and the environmental disaster that resulted from it in such a way that they were stunned… Farmers come from Thrace, from Ergene, they are all our patients anyway. “Professor,” he says, “15 of our cattle died recently. Three products arrive. Rice, sunflower seeds, wheat… We had cadmium and lead analyses done. It was 2 to 8 times higher than permitted! Now where did this product go, who ate it? We don’t know any of these. The ministry cannot inspect every product one by one, let’s give it credit there. But this is important; agricultural chemicals that are sprayed on the product are removed by peeling the shell, or even washing the fruit and vegetable well, when they are not used too much. The problem is the herbicide. Because the fruit tree is not affected by the herbicide, but it takes it into its body. The biological system accumulates it inside. This can cause a tumor to form in humans, and it can also cause animals to die… Many countries also throw this herbicide, glyphosate, into the wild. In the name of weed control. I don’t know why. “YOU CANNOT PREVENT CANCER BY OPENING A LARGE HOSPITAL” – What do they want from the wild? It is not understood at all. They are spraying the forests. Why? It is not clear. – Probably so that the companies that produce these pesticides can make money… Can you think of another reason, sir? Most probably it is. This is nature, you cannot interfere with nature. You can interfere with your field if you want, but when it comes to the forest, you cannot say, “I will clean the weeds from here.” It is wild. It has to stay that way. If you interfere with it, things will get out of hand. “AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERS WHO CONTROL PLANTS ARE SELLING PLANTS” – What terrible people have we become? Unfortunately, we are a terrible race. Look, who recommends pesticides after all? Agricultural engineers… You see, most of the agricultural engineers are also distributors of pesticides. I heard and couldn't believe it, when selling pesticides, they ask the farmer, "Are you going to use it for yourself or for the product you are going to sell?" This is such an unfair situation. If someone who is also a dealer can control the sale of pesticides, how can they control their consumption? Will the person undermine their own sales? There is a problem there. Secondly, there is the misuse of pesticides. This is like antibiotics used for growth purposes in chickens. I would never have thought of such a thing in a thousand years. They start giving antibiotics to the chicks as soon as they hatch. I am hopeful that our producer will make a regulation on this issue. BESD-BİR said, "We will do our best." But whoever came up with the idea of using antibiotics in this way, even the American Academies have not understood this... If you give antibiotics to chicks, you prevent the development of the chick's intestinal system. Because a significant portion of the food we normally eat is used in intestinal metabolism. Therefore, energy consumption decreases. If you don’t expose this chick to the sun, its bones will develop unhealthily and it will only produce meat… “CHICKENS ARE SO FLESH THAT THEIR BONES BREAK” – I could never understand, my teacher… Otherwise, if you expose it to the sun, the chick will develop healthily and it will also produce bones. But they don’t want it to make bones, they only want it to make meat. Then you save money from there, the animal eventually becomes an animal that can’t escape in any way, like a potato lying in a potato field and grows where it is. A friend of ours who works in slaughter told us this, “When you pick up the poor animal from the ground, you feel its bones breaking under your hand. It can’t escape anyway. It can’t move even if you let it go.” Because they are raised in a way that they don’t spend any energy and produce meat. Can you imagine getting 1 kilo of chicken with 1.7 kilos of feed. Is there such a transformation in the world? – I knew how chickens are raised under torture, so I would never eat them, but I didn’t know this much. How can we be so heartless just to make money? You are right, this is extremely unconscionable. On the other hand, when we look at it, those who do this are believers… “ANIMALS ARE LICKING THE RUSTY METAL PARTS OF THE BARN DUE TO IRON DEFICIENCY” – Prof. Kenan Demirkol had said in an interview we had, “Normally, when does a cow give milk? Isn’t it when it has calves? But milk is so valuable for the producer that the calf is separated from its mother after 10 days and fed with soy milk. And the mother and calf cry for days because of the separation.” What are we doing? Do we have to be so ruthless just to be fed? There is actually a very big sin here… I think a religious figure should come out and say, “Don’t do this, it is a sin.” Maybe then people will start thinking… Unfortunately, the Directorate of Religious Affairs also gives answers in the middle. It doesn’t say anything clear. Do you know that iron is not given to calves so that their meat will be pink. Why would the meat of an animal that you eat as red meat be pink? Sir, such a thing is worth up to 100 Euros in Europe. Animals lick the rusted metal parts of the barn due to iron deficiency. Can such a mentality, such an animal breeding be possible? There is a similar thing in hormone use. They use hormones in calves. An 8-month-old calf should be tiny, it becomes as big as a big cow. Everyone who sees it is scared. Whatever they give them, they make the animals like this. Now, the ministry should not come out and say, “We are inspecting, we are producing wonderfully, we are getting high yields.” No, high yields are not important. It is important that you get healthy yields. – We always look at the numbers, right? This is America’s standard error. It has started to happen to us too. They say production is increasing. So how much do you pay for medicine in return? That is why the most cancers are seen in America. – Not a day goes by without a young artist getting breast cancer in our country. Most of my friends have breast cancer. What is the reason for the increase in breast cancer in particular? It is unknown. But it is very likely that these people eat chicken to eat healthy, there are certain hormones they get from chicken. We do not know the hormone part of this business. But if it can grow a calf this much in 8 months, it definitely has to do some hormonal manipulations. They either do it with androgens or another growth hormone… In fact, a friend of ours worked in the Ministry of Agriculture in the Netherlands for 25 years, he says, “Sir, especially during the Eid al-Adha, there are no animals without hormones. They give them all growth hormones. The animals swell and are sent to the market.” “MY FRIEND STOPPED FEEDING HER DAUGHTER EGGS, SHE GOT BACKED HER HEALTH AS A CHILD” – I swear, my heart can’t take it anymore. I need to write it, but… People need to be upset, their hearts need to be swollen, but they need to learn the truth. A friend of mine told me about it a few weeks ago. It is a very sad example. Her 10-year-old daughter started to have hair on her legs. When they went from doctor to doctor and couldn’t get a result, they said, “What are we feeding this child to make him do this?” And they came to the point where they got eggs. “We were giving him an egg every day, we cut it and the feathering stopped. After that, we switched to organic eggs, there is no problem anymore,” he says. – What is in eggs? You definitely have to do something to the chicken to make it lay two or three eggs a day. Because laying so many eggs is outside the nature of the animal. – That’s why girls started menstruating early, boys’ breasts are growing… Yes. It is going terribly. The nutrition of this country needs to improve. We cannot prevent cancer cases by opening big hospitals. Cancer is not something that can be prevented by developing early diagnosis methods. Our nutrition needs to improve. We get hormones from the eggs we eat, milk is not milk anyway, just like yogurt… On the one hand, we get plenty of pesticides. The body that is fed this way can handle it if it is fed this way once, it can handle it if it is fed twice, but when this is the only option, disease is inevitable. Cancers have exploded. A farmer calls from Batman, his wife has had her sixth miscarriage… A young villager calls from Kars, she has cancer… He says he bought chicken from the market because after the bird flu story in Kars, they ran out of chickens after 2.5 million village chickens were burned… “THINGS ARE NOT GOOD” – How could we do such a thing? We buried the chickens alive and burned them. The sin of that alone is enough for us? It was an incredible delirium… We burned all the chickens. A few years later, the same delirium came back, this time as swine flu. When did this delirium end? When our Prime Minister said, “I am not getting the swine flu vaccine!” They are fooling the Minister of Health. What is happening? We are setting an example for Europe in vaccination! Oh come on! There is very serious kidney damage in the nation right now. Because we can see this from the increase in dialysis centers. The most important reason for this is that we do not eat right. No, he smoked too much, the environment is bad… You cannot explain it with these. Because it is known that these pesticides cause kidney toxicity. The Prime Minister must definitely take on the agriculture and food business himself! Otherwise, this is not a good trend at all!
