It is a shrub or a plant from the Rosaceae family that grows on the eastern shores of the Black Sea and grows up to 6 meters tall and does not shed its leaves during the winter months.
Its flowers are small and white. They are gathered in clusters. Its fruit is the size of an olive.
Fresh leaves contain sugar, tannin, calcium oxalate and a glycoside called prulaurasin.
Saffron juice is prepared from fresh leaves.
It calms the nerves.

It stops cough.
It relieves spasms.
It is also used in cases of delayed menstruation.
