Its leaves are shiny and alternately arranged. Its flowers are white and fragrant.
Its fruit is spherical, yellow-orange in color and has 8-12 segments.
The juice of its fruit has a sour-bitter taste.
The peels of unripe fruits contain essential oil, vitamin C, pectin and hesperidin.
Orange blossom essence is extracted from its flowers.
It calms the nerves and relieves spasms.
It facilitates digestion.
It is used in perfumery.
