Bitter tree (Quvasya tree):

It is a small plant of the rue family, 2-3 meters tall. It has yellow spots on its thin bark. Its flowers are red. It grows in hot countries. In these countries, it is believed that those who drink water from containers made of bitter tree bark will become stronger. In medicine, its root, bark and wood are used. Its active ingredient is "Quassine". It is very bitter.
Places of use:
It increases appetite, facilitates digestion. It reduces fever. It increases saliva secretion. It regulates the functioning of the stomach, intestines, liver and kidneys. It stops kidney pains, helps to pass stones. It expels intestinal worms. It stops bleeding. It is also used as an insect repellent. If used excessively; it causes dizziness, nausea and vomiting.
