It is necessary to distinguish between Entele and flea grass
Entele is the seed of a plant that grows in India and its sale and import are prohibited.
Where it is found: It grows everywhere in crop fields, stubble and grassy areas, up to 500m sea level.
Structure: It is a branched annual herbaceous plant, 20-40 cm high. The root is spindle-shaped and quite thick. The leaves are small as hazel, pitchfork-shaped, with long sections. The flowers are sad-shaped, blue-violet, sometimes pink or white. The cluster-shaped flower clusters form a small broom. The fruit is a pod filled with dark brown to black seeds (These seeds are the part used for hair). The seeds are used as a lice killer.
Parts Used: Flowers are used. Flowers are collected during flowering in June and August. They are dried in the shade or in ovens heated to 40 degrees. Dried flowers are blue-violet, odorless and bitter. Humidity ratio is % 11. They are packaged in wooden crates. They are stored in dry, airy, shaded buildings.
Chemical Composition: Flowers contain calripin and delphinine alkaloids, aconite acid, yellow coloring matter, campferol glycoside, anthosia type blue pigment etc. Delsonine and delkosine alkaloids, solid oil substances etc. have been discovered in seeds.
In Which Diseases Is It Used: Due to its poisonous nature, it is rarely used as a diuretic or dewormer. Recently, it has been used as a medicine against insects.

Externally, 1/10 crushed seeds are mixed with chicken fat and used to lubricate against ticks and lice. It is used in powder form in the fight against insects.
Usage: Boil 1 coffee spoon of the flowers with 0.5 lt. of boiling water. Drink a glass of raki three times a day before meals.
