It is a tree from the cypress family that generally does not shed its leaves in the winter months.
There are many varieties. The common cypress is a columnar cypress species that can grow up to 20-30 m tall.
Its bark is thin and smooth with long cracks. Its leaves are dark green.
At the end of its vines, it has a dark-coloured cone, about 3 cm in diameter.
The essential oil obtained from its branches and leaves contains tannin and cypress camphor.
Cones are used in medicine. It stops diarrhea.
It stops bleeding.
It is also beneficial in diabetes.
It is also used to strengthen hair and relieve toothache.
