Beeswax
Beeswax is obtained by melting the honeycombs made by bees. Care should be taken to ensure that it is of good quality.
Beeswax cleanses the skin from impurities and oil.
It is a dark, dark yellow or greenish colored mass that becomes liquid at 62-65 degrees, has a honey smell and a special taste. It is divided into two qualities in trade as "yellow beeswax" and "brown beeswax" according to its color. Yellow beeswax is more valuable.
In the past, its extracts were used as emulsions as a sedative. Today, it is used especially in the preparation of ointments and cosmetic preparations, and is a component of plasters and polishes.
Beeswax Mud: It is the name given to the part of the honeycomb that has been removed and is mixed with foreign substances during the melting of the honeycombs to obtain beeswax.
