Gallbladder inflammation

It is a type of inflammation caused by gallbladder stones. In medical terms, it is called cholecystitis. There are two types.

– Chronic gallbladder inflammation

The gallbladder shrinks and cannot function properly. The patient has gas and tension in the abdomen, especially after meals. In addition, temporary pain and jaundice attacks that start on the right side and spread to under the ribs are also seen. In medical terms, it is called chronic cholecystitis. This disease is usually seen in obese women over the age of 40.

– Acute Gallbladder InflammationIn particular, it is a disease caused by stones settled in the bile ducts. In medical terms, it is called acute cholestitis. The patient has sudden, severe and rapidly developing pain in the upper right part of the abdomen, radiating to the back and even to the tip of the right shoulder. Fever increases, vomiting and nausea occur.

In both types of gallbladder inflammation, it is necessary to see a doctor without delay. Surgery may be required.
