Stinky stork grass
Although the whole stork herb is used, it is generally used in making tea, tincture, natural medicine and externally as a bandage.
We can list the ingredients in the composition of stork grass according to their importance as follows;
a) Tannin derivatives are in the ratio of %5-15 and the most important sub-derivatives include Geraniin, Isogeranii, Elagitannin and Gallusacids.
b) Flavones; We can count Rutoside, Quercitrin, Nicotiflorin, Hyeroside and Isoquercitrin.
c) Organic acids; Contains Malic acid (apple acid), Citric acid (lemon acid).
d) It also contains vitamin C, essential oil derivatives and bitter substances.
It has properties that constrict blood vessels, stop bleeding, prevent inflammation and heal wounds.
In experiments against viruses (causing infection), the desired results were not obtained and sufficient research was not done.
Use in folk medicine
It has been used against eczema, diarrhea, internal bleeding, intestinal inflammation, swelling of tonsils and lymph nodes. Externally, it has been applied boiled or freshly applied to wounds.
Two coffee spoons of Stork herb (dried and finely chopped) are placed in the teapot and 300-400 ml of boiling water is added. After letting it brew for 5-10 minutes, strain and drink.
It has no known side effects.
